Synopsis:

Kinga Choszcz, a Polish hitchhiker traveling in West Africa, buys Malaika a Ghanaian girl out of slavery. Two weeks later Kinga dies of malaria. Kinga’s death brings her mother Krystyna to Africa in a wish to help African slave- children.

In the fishing village in Ghana, Krystyna finds Malaika and decides to bring her to Poland to ensure education for her. Malaika comes to Poland to start a new life with Krystyna’s family.

Will Poland become Malaika’s new home? Surprising ending of the film puts Krystyna’s charitable efforts and the whole story in a different perspective.
